"Materials for energy generation focuses on the current discussions on energy management, the energy transition and their societal and environmental impacts.
In this area, materials play a key role at different levels: their sustainability is increasing, they exhibit new physical properties and their production is becoming more energy-efficient. Scientific and technical breakthroughs will be discussed by leading academic and industrial experts during sessions dedicated to five specific topics.
The introductory day will be devoted to plenary lectures as a general and largely open introduction to the links between materials and energy. Invited speakers will update the scientific, technical and economic dimensions of these energy issues.
This will be an opportunity to review progress on new materials, on new concept of energy generation as well as new materials production techniques. It will also provide information on European research programs and in specific countries such as Germany.
This introductory day on “Materials & Energy” is open to a large audience curious of these issues strategic for the future.
A special one-day registration will be available for those interested in the issues raised by the energy transition.
