Point rapide sur les journées
Ces journées internationales ont été organisées sous la responsabilité de F. MOREL, Y. NADOT, J.-Y. BUFFIERE, avec la collaboration de M. BRUNE (DVM).
Elles se sont tenues à Paris (Chimie Paris Tech) les 22 et 23 mai 2013. Les 135 participants présents, en provenance de nombreux pays, ont eu la possibilité de découvrir 56 communications orales et 25 contributions par poster.
Après une session poster réussie et sur la base des votes des participants, le prix du meilleur poster a été attribué à Gaëlle LEOPOLD (Institut P’-ENSMA) pour son poster intitulé :
"Influence of casting defects on fatigue strength of an investment cast Ti-6Al-4V alloy" (co-auteurs : Y.NADOT, J.MENDEZ, T. BILLAUDEAU).
La soirée du 11 juin a été consacrée à une visite guidée des galeries et des passages couverts de Paris, qui a mené les participants du Palais Royal jusqu'aux Grands Boulevards.

This International Symposium FDMD, joining the fourteenth International SF2M Spring Meeting, is the second in a series initiated in Trondheim, Norway, May 2011.
Like in the first edition, it is focused on the influence of defects on the fatigue and durability of structural materials. This is an important scientific issue with significant human and financial implications.
Objectives All materials are concerned. The main objective is to understand the impact of a given defect population on the fatigue behavior from a material optimization point of view (i.e. the link with the material elaboration and manufacturing process) and also from a design optimization perspective (i.e. definition of an allowable defect size). |
